In the park

While in the park this weekend with our friends, Kate practiced sticking her tongue out of one side of her mouth - she just cracks us up sometimes!

My First Dolly

Tony and Ann-Marie Smihal sent Kate her new favorite toy - her first dolly. She sucks on the back of its head and generally flings it around as she sits in her bouncy chair while we get ready in the morning. She's quite happy with it!

No real explanation for the day, we just liked the picture. We're waiting to see if Kate has red hair like her dad.

I got it!

Kate has been working on the gross motor skills lately. She's starting to "trap" things into her arms, like a football catch. Lots more drool too - 2 1/2 month is too early to be teething, right?

Rockabye Baby

We are finally up and running on a blog! You can still visit our old update from July and prior at www.geocities.com/anissak . We've posted July and August as if we were organized enough to do it day by day (we're not). Beginning in September, we'll try to post at least once per week.

Kate certainly likes to be swaddled to sleep at night, but she's gotten good at "escaping" from her swaddling blanket. Tim has threatened the use of duct tape, but for now "double swaddling" seems to work like a charm. Too bad it's 90 degrees!

We had begun the transition to the crib too. Kate is taking naps in her crib, so her days in the cradle may be numbered.
